DRAFT. This page is a skeleton. It needs review by a Brunei lawyer before anyone relies on it. It is not legal advice. Items marked OPEN are decisions that have not been made yet.
Marketplace terms
DRAFT skeleton of the terms for venues, organizers and vendors who sell through Venuvo.
Roles
- Venuvo is an intermediary. Venues, organizers and vendors are responsible for their own services, prices and what they promise.
- To be drafted by a lawyer: the exact wording of the intermediary role.
What sellers are responsible for
- Accurate listings, prices, facilities and availability.
- Food safety and halal claims. A halal badge should only be shown when backed by a document that has been seen and recorded. OPEN: how the halal badge is tied to a document in the app.
- The venue's safety obligations towards guests.
- Checking their own bank account before marking a payment as received.
Verification
- Owners and managers can upload documents and ask for review. A verified badge means an admin looked at the uploaded documents.
- To be drafted by a lawyer: what the badge does and does not promise.
Photos, logos and other content
- To be drafted by a lawyer: the licence sellers give for photos and logos they upload, and who owns what.
Fees and payment
- OPEN: Venuvo's fee, when it is charged and how invoices are issued.
- OPEN: whether customer money will ever pass through the platform. Today customers pay the seller directly.
Suspension and ending
- Platform admins can suspend an organization. To be drafted by a lawyer: reasons, notice and what happens to open bookings.
